About
I am working on driven soft matter systems like micellar gels, suspensions of fractal clusters, monolayers at the fluid interfaces probed mainly by Rheology, in-situ light scattering and imaging. These systems show a wide variety of interesting dynamical properties like shear-thinning, shear-thickening, low Reynolds number turbulence, shear-banding etc. Importantly, many of these systems show large fluctuations with time when driven by a constant force (stress) or constant strain rate. These fluctuations show very interesting statistical properties.
Previously, I also worked on chaotic dynamics in complex fluid systems.
I did my B.S. (Physics major) from University of Calcutta and M.S. from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
Currently I am doing my PhD in Physics at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore under Prof. A.K. Sood.
